Buying Guidance

Match throat diameter, diaphragm material, and impedance to your horn and crossover design — an HF driver mismatched to its horn's throat size will not couple efficiently regardless of its individual power rating. See our voice coil replacement guide for how to identify a failed driver's specifications.

Maintenance

Diaphragm failure from amplifier clipping is the most common HF driver issue — a clean, adequately powered amplifier signal protects HF drivers far more than the driver's own power rating alone.
