Coaxial point-source speaker drivers

Coaxial drivers combining a woofer and a coaxially-mounted compression driver or tweeter in a single frame — giving true point-source imaging from one physical location, useful where a compact full-range source matters.

SR-108CX

8" (200 mm) • 1" coincident compression driver • 2 kHz (built-in passive network)

SR-112CX

12" (300 mm) • 1" coincident compression driver • 1.8 kHz (built-in passive network)

SR-115CX

15" (380 mm) • 1.4" coincident compression driver • 1.6 kHz (built-in passive network)

Applications

  • Compact full-range PA cabinets
  • Stage monitor construction
  • Near-field monitoring
  • Space-constrained installation projects

Buying Guidance

Coaxial drivers simplify cabinet design by combining two acoustic sources at one point, at some cost to maximum SPL versus a comparable separate-driver two-way design — a reasonable trade for monitors and compact cabinets where imaging matters more than headroom.

Maintenance

The compression driver element at the coaxial driver's center is the more failure-prone component — inspect and test the HF section independently from the woofer section when diagnosing an underperforming coaxial driver.
