Conference halls with lectern/panel-discussion use cases benefit from a dedicated speech-reinforcement system separate from any music/event system — a single system trying to do both compromises intelligibility for the former.

Outdoor and touring events

Outdoor events lose the boundary reinforcement a room provides (walls and ceiling reflecting and reinforcing sound), meaning outdoor systems generally need 6–10 dB more headroom than an equivalent indoor coverage target to achieve the same perceived loudness. This is where line arrays earn their keep for larger grounds — concentrating output toward the audience rather than spilling energy upward into open sky where an equivalent point source system would.
